Life of William Wordsworth  William Wordsworth (7 April 1770 – 23 April 1850) William Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770, in Cockermouth, Cumberland, England, to John and Ann Wordsworth. He attended Hawkshead Grammar School and later St. John's College, Cambridge, where he developed a love for poetry and nature. After graduating, Wordsworth traveled to France, became involved in the French Revolution, and published his first poetry collection, "An Evening Walk", in 1793. He went on to become a key figure in the Romantic Movement, producing iconic works like "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud", "Tintern Abbey", and "Ode: Intimations of Immortality". Wordsworth married Mary Hutchinson in 1802 and had five children.
